SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC

In 2014 the Sounders FC business ops split from the Seahawks to become its own entity, I was brought on with the unique challenge of leading all creative for a franchise that was operating as a startup but had decades of history and record-setting expectations to live up to.

Responsible for guiding the visual voice of the brand; I developed campaigns, directed photo shoots with the players, wrote & produced TV spots, and managed relationships with external vendors. It was my job to know the needs for every department, know what business goals needed to be met, but more importantly to push back when I saw the brand, that fans love and support, being compromised.

I hired and managed other designers, established creative processes, and grew both the quality and quantity of work that our internal team could produce. 

Other initiatives beyond regular seasonal projects: Launched a development team, launched team club house, hosted multiple international tournament matches, 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign, won 2014 U.S. Open Cup, won 2014 MLS Supporters Shield, 40th Season Anniversary.
